THE PURPOSE OF CHRISTIANITY

 The main reason God created man is to establish heavenly principle/dominion on earth.

Introduction 

"And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth...... Gen. 1:26 ".

The above scripture reveal that the main purpose why God created Adam (the first man on earth) was to established heavenly principle on earth. Adam was created King of the earth by God to rule and have dominion on earth. Adam lost this dominion to Lucifer, when he disobeyed God. 

The fall of man

Lucifer took over this dominion from Adam when Adam fell. God was angry with Adam and drove him away from the garden of Eden. Before the fall have Adam, Adam exercise this dominion by naming every thing that exist on earth. "And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name therefore Gen. 2:19".Adam lost this privileged to Lucifer and Satan now has the right to afflict the descendants of  Adam. "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servant are ye to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness Rom. 6: 16 " . Adam obey the deception of Lucifer and became subject to him. 

God's plan of redemption

God has a plan B for man. He introduce the law to see if through the knowledge of the law man could understand God and establish genuine relationship with God.  The introduction of the law create the awareness of sin and man became more sinful. for the law was weak in that it was unable to prevent man from sinning against God. God sent the second Adam (Jesus Christ) to set man free from the yoke of sin. 

Christ the power and wisdom of God.

When Jesus Christ died on  Calvary tree and arose the third day, He took the dominion from Lucifer "Jesus said unto them, All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth. Matt. 28: 18". and hand over same to the church "Behold i give unto you, power over serpent and scorpion and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you! Luke 10: 19"

You most be in Christ Jesus to exercise this authority. As a believer your main purpose why you are a christian is to Know God. "Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him Ephes. 1:16-17 " . Apostle Paul once prayed that I might know Him and the power of His Resurrection..... Phi 3:10.   We know God through fellowship. We establish fellowship with God by studying the word and praying and worshiping Him on a daily  basis.

The power of God's glory

 The glory of God is the  physical demonstration of God's power , presence and majesty.  It is the invisible qualities , character and attributes of God  displayed in a visible way.  The glory of God is the eternity attributes of God shown in time and space. 

When Moses was in Mount Sinai speaking with the I AM, he pleaded for God to show him His glory. ' And God said I will make all my goodness to pass before you and will proclaim my name before you...... Exodus 33:18-19. Moses saw the back of God, and was able to write down what had happened even before he was borned. Here again, the eternity attributes of God is being displayed in time and space. He saw eternity past. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, Gen. 1:1, the earth was void and without shape..... verse 2. 

The glory of God reflect who He is. His glory is shown in His presence. Jesus is the radiance of God's glory. The more of Him (God) in us, the higher the realm of glory we experienced in our lives. In short, more of Jesus in us , the greater the glory of God in our lives. 

To experience God's glory, we most do the following daily.

• Pray for God to reveal Himself to you: It is important to know God first before seeing His glory. In the process of seeking to know God , His glory will be reveal to you. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness..... Matthew 6: 33.  
• Regular fellowship: fellowship with God bring us closer to Him.  The more of His word in us, the more we become like Him.  fellowshiping with God through His word, constant prayer, constant worship draw us closer to God.

THE POWER OF GOD'S PRESENCE

 He that dwells in God's secret place shall abide under the shadows.... Ps 91.

The above scripture reveal the benefits of dwelling in God's presence. God's presence give us maximum protection every day, in His presence we have all our spiritual and physical needs being met. Apart from these blessings we gain by dwelling in God's presence, there is something mysterious about the presence of God.  God's presence transform us into His image. Jesus was transfigured into another realm of glory in the mount of transfiguration by dwelling in God's presence.  Matthew 17 : 1-9. Moses pray to know God's glory and his containance changed. And he saw things that have happened in the past...... God's presence should be what we most seek after every blessed day. 

FOUNDATION FOR GOD'S PRESENCE

As believers or a church there are  things you must do every day to enable you or the ministry  be a carrier of God's presence. Let start with the church. For any ministry to enjoy the benefits of God's presence, these factors must be present.

• There must be oneness or unity: 'That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God..... Romans 15: 6. Unity in the church attract God's presence. The church were unity thrive, God's presence thrive too. Apostle Paul admonish the Ephesus that they should keep the unity of the church. 'Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph. 4:3. The bible is referring to the unity of the church, this will always attract God's presence. And the benefits of dwelling in God's presence is attainable.
• Love: God is love, where love is, there God is.  I John 4: 16.  Any church that lack love , God's presence always elude such ministry. The book of 1 Cor. 13 explain what love really is. 

INDIVIDUAL

Has believers in Christ, the foundation you need to lay down to be a carrier of God's presence is desiring to know Him . You become a carrier of God's presence when you desire to know him by praying for God to reveal Himself to you. This is the primary purpose of prayer. Moses pray to see God's glory and he saw eternity past. Apostle Paul pray to know Him and the power of His resurrection. Spent quality time with God, pray for God to reveal Himself to you and His presence will follow you every where you go.

THE SPIRIT OF UNDERSTANDING

 THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD WILL REST ON HIM; THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING. ISAIAH 11:2 

The third dimension of the seven Spirits of God is the Spirit of understanding. The Spirit of understanding is the aspect of the Holy Spirit that helps us to understand the hope of our calling. Eph 1: 18-19. The Spirit of understanding give us rhema from the scripture. This aspect of the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to understand the mysteries of salvation. (Proverbs 4:7). The Spirit of understanding is God's supernatural revelation - His secret insight to His word. Understanding simply means a comprehending or a grasping of His Word. The Spirit of God illuminates our heart and gives us understanding of His Word. In other words, He " turns on the lights for us". 

Operation of the Spirit of understanding ( 1 Corinthian 2:10-11). 

For the spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.  For what man knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man which is in him ? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God ".  

The ability to understand the Bible is something that God gives to us. Understanding is a gift from God, it is not something that we conjure within ourselves. As Christians we have the ultimate opportunity in life to ask  God to give us perfect counsel and direction. He has perfect understanding of what is best for us. The spirit of revelation and spiritual understanding go side by sides with each other. The wisdom and revelation we receive in our  spirit   come to us by the Spirit of understanding before we can know the real meaning of revelation. Revelation is what will received from God; understanding is comprehending the revelation we have received from God.

THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM

 THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD WILL REST ON HIM, THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM.....Isaiah 11:2

The second Spirit of the seven Spirits of God His the Spirit of Wisdom. The Spirit of wisdom is the operational dimension of the  of the Holy Spirit that brings the wisdom of God. He causes the wisdom of God to manifest in our life. Eph. 1: 17. 

Wisdom is generally define as the ability to apply knowledge. Wisdom is a force, it's the divine insight into the purpose of God. it's the ability to comprehend the will and purpose of God and put it to practice. Wisdom is the controlling power of reality.

wisdom is a force, is more than ability, you may have the ability to do something but refuses to do it. when the Spirit  of wisdom is at work, He revealed the purpose of God and cause you to do it. Earlier in the book of proverbs, wisdom was personified as a woman calling out in public to be heard (Proverbs 1:20-21). Solomon once again uses this metaphor, depicting wisdom as she cries out from near and far for men to head her call and listen to what she has to say. Wisdom's message is not obscured so that no one can find it. On the contrary, the basic principles of godly wisdom are so obvious that all people ought to hear and listen (Proverbs 8: 1-5) 

The operation of the Spirit of wisdom 

The Spirit of wisdom brings us revelation in the exact knowledge of God. When the Spirit of wisdom has His way in our lives, it will bring us a revelation that gives us insight into mysteries and divine revelation of whom God his. 

The Spirit of wisdom brings us light that will flood our path and illuminate our minds to have such an extraordinary amplitude of comprehension. He will also brings us counsel and direction, such that life ceases to be mysterious to us. The Spirit of wisdom is that aspect of the Holy Spirit that enable us to penetrate divine truth that prepares us to judge all things according to that truth.

The Spirit of Wisdom and revelation is not some mysterious blessing given to a special few, and it is not just the ability to speak as a prophet. Rather, it is the work of the Holy Spirit to help us as people of God to understand the things of God more fully and completely. Wisdom gives us insight into God while revelation unveils and truth about Him. Still, the more we study the Bible, the better we will know God.

THE SPIRIT OF LORDSHIP

 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him......... Isaiah 11:1-2a. 

 Just as without some essential commodities or substance such as water, oxygen etc. life on plantnet earth will be unbearable ,all believers need the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction and for survival. 

The first to be mention of  The Seven Spirits of God is the Spirit of the Lord, also know as the Spirit of LORDSHIP.

LORDSHIP here refers to dominion. This dimension of the Holy Spirit is the aspect of the Holy Spirit that comes upon us and anoint us for service. The Spirit of LORDSHIP gives us boldness and sense of dominion. He enpowers us and gives us the boldness to preach and teach the gospel and witness for Jesus. Acts 18:9.

When the Spirit of Lordship is at work, He reveal the glory of God and enable us to hear God when He speaks. "And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon my feet, and I will speak unto you. And the Spirit entered into me when He speaks and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me Ezekiel 2:1-2. Ezekiel recognized that his ability to hear what God was speaking to him was as the results of the Holy Spirit. 

The Holy Spirit acts as a middle man between us and God.  He transfer information from God and brings it to our spirits , so without the help of the Holy Spirit, we can't hear from God. He enable us to hear and understand the voice of God when He speaks.

Miracle happened by the Spirit of Lordship. Luke 4:18-19 reveal to us how Jesus was able to preach the gospel, heal the sick, set the captives free etc . The Spirit of Lordship gives us the anointing for service.

THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD

 AND OUT OF THE THRONE PROCEEDED LIGHTING AND THUNDERING AND VOICES: AND THERE WERE SEVEN LAMPS OF FIRE BURNING BEFORE THE THRONE, WHICH ARE THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD (REV. 4:5) 

When you hear the seven spirits of God, the first question you like to ask is, does God have seven different Spirits? Generally we all know that God is one and He has one Spirit that is the person of the Holy Spirit. If God has one spirit what about the seven spirits of God in Revelation 3:1,..........

Base on scriptural facts, seven often represent or symbolizes completion or perfection. Genesis tells us that God created the heavens and the Earth in six days and rested on the seven this shows that seven portray perfection or completion. (Gen. 1, 2:1-2). The seven spirits of God refers to the various dimension in which the Spirit of God operates. Revelation 4: 5 talks about seven golden lamps and Zech. 4:2 talks of a candlesticks that has seven different lamps burning with fire. In Zech. 3:9 the bible says " upon one stone shall be seven eyes....." 

The seven spirits of God reveals seven independent manifestation in which the Holy Spirit operates. Sometimes it is refers to the seven folds manifestation of the Holy Spirit of God in the life of a believer. The seven spirits of God is the full measure of the Holy Spirit of God.

The prophet of old were given the spirit of God in a measure , Elijah and Elisha have the spirit of Lordship, the spirit of might and the spirit of wisdom and understanding, David had the spirit of might, Ahithophel has the spirit of counsel. The Spirit of God were given to them in a measure. 

Jesus was the first to have the full measure of the Holy Spirit because the bible says in John 3: 34-45 " For he whom God hath sent speaks the words of God: for God did not give him the Spirit by measure..." This means that Jesus had full measure of the Holy Spirit of God, i.e. The fullness of the Holy Spirit was in Him. 

Isaiah 11:1-2 listed the seven operational dimension of the Holy Spirit otherwise called the seven spirit of God. They are;

1.  The Spirit of the Lord
   
2. The Spirit of wisdom
   
3. The Spirit of Understanding 
4. The Spirit of Counsel
5. The Spirit of Might
6. The Spirit of Knowledge 
7. And of the fear of the Lord.

These are the 7 Dimensions of the operation of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus Christ when he walked on planet earth.

The good news is that the same Holy Spirit that was in Jesus Christ is the same Holy Spirit that's in us today. The biblical reality of us learning to come to the TRUTH of this verse and it being a spiritual reality in our lives today is what God desires for us to know. We need to understand that Jesus mentioned that we will do the very works that He did and greater works because the Father is in Him and He is on the way to the Father and He will pray that the father sends us another HELPER- The Spirit of Truth (See, John 14: 9-26).

REVELATION CHAPTER 7 EXPLAINED

 WELCOME BACK ! LET CONTINUE FROM WHERE WE STOP

according to the book of revelation, God's judgement is divided into three series. They are; 

•  7 seal that will be broken 
• 7 Trumpet that will be blown and 
• 7 Bowls that will be poured out.

Chapter 6 revealed the judgement that follows when each of the seal will be  opened.  But something happened between the sixth seal and the seventh seal. That is what chapter seven contains and details explanation will be given below.

1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

² And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

³ Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

⁴ And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

⁵ Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

⁶ Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

⁷ Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

⁸ Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

⁹ After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

¹⁰ And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

¹¹ And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

¹² Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

¹⁴ And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹⁵ Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes

now we have the complete verse, let begin to explain.

In verse 1; John saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth. Although, the earth is spherical in shape, I believe these angels were standing at four strategic places in space where they can be able to influence the entire earth space. In verse two he saw another mighty angel giving instruction to the first four angel to wait for a while until the servants of God were sealed in there four head.

In verse 4, 144,000 people were sealed and they were all Jews. twelve from each tribe. some believe that these 144,000 people were special prince chosen by God for specific purpose. i believes this are Jewish believers who will brings uncountable unbelievers to Christ through their witnesses during the great tribulation period. This is written in  Revelation 14: 3-5.

in verse 9; a great multitude were seen by John which represent souls that will be saved during the great tribulation era, with palm branches on their hands glorifying God for His mercy and salvation which they had gotten through the blood of the lamb of God. They are people from all languages, tribe, culture, ethnic groups of the earth. These people will have the seal of God on their fore head which signify acceptance and qualification to spend eternity in God's kingdom.

During these ere all men that exist  on earth will either have the mark of the beast on their fore head or the seal of God on their fore head. thank you for reading this article. Jesus is coming very soon!!!

DETAILS EXPLANATION OF REVELATION CHAPTER 6

 Revelation chapter 6 contains 17 verses and each verse describe the content of the scroll with the seven seals. These period is refer to as the seven years of tribulation. There is a question i want to discuss here; 

WILL RAPTURE TAKE PLACE BEFORE , DURING OR AFTER THE SEVEN YEARS OF TRIBULATION ?

The book revelation chapter 2 and 3 revealed the church age,  4 and 5 shows God's kingdom, nothing was said about the church  still chapter 19. i think revelation 3:10 answer the question " Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you.  from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world" Jesus said in the above scripture that He will keep the church during the tribulation period. how is He going to do that ? although not mention in the bible, i believe He will keep (preserved, secured) the church through rapture. The church will not be on earth during the tribulation period.  

When Jesus open the first seal, a white house with a rider that have a bow on his hand and a crown on his head was seen by John the divine. who is the white house rider? some believers believe Jesus is the white house rider because He is riding on a white house wish signify peace and dominion. The statement below does not signify that, the white house rider is not Jesus, but the Anti- Christ who will disguise himself as someone that brings peace to the world trying to unit the world through one religion, all the region of the world will emerge as one, but half his reign he will definitely destroyed mankind.

When Jesus open the second seal, a red house with a rider also was revealed to John, the red house signify war. There will be a great war in the end time that will reduce the population of the world. 

When Jesus open the third seal,  a black house came up also with a rider. The black house signify world economy. There will be economic collapse in the end time. great famine will invade the earth as a result many will die of hunger.

when Jesus open the fourth seal, a pale house came up with its own rider, the name of the house rider was death. death will invade the earth and fourth part of the earth will be kill by death. 

 when Jesus open the fifth seal, many souls that was murdered for their faith will ask God how long will it take for God to avenge their blood on them that dwell on the earth . Who are these souls, if the church will not be on earth during the tribulation period, then how come some souls will still asking for vengeance ?

i think these are souls that missed rapture, who because of the knowledge of the word that they had, refuse to bow to the anti-christ and they will be killed for their faith. 

When Jesus open the sixth seal, there was great earthquake; the sun became black and the moon became red as blood.

ETERNITY IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS

 THE BLOOD OF JESUS CONTAINS ETERNAL LIFE

In Leviticus 17:4a the Bible says "The life of every living creature is in the blood" This show that blood is an essential aspect of life. In the garden of Eden,  God told Adam not to touch the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, for the day Adam touched or eat the fruit he shall surely die. Lucifer get hold of that statement and deceived Eve to eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil and that they shall not surely die. Satan deceived Eve and Eve influences Adam to eat the fruit. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and lost the dominion to rule here on earth as King. 

"And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? Genesis 3:9 — New Living Translation ". God asked Adam where he was not because He did not know where he was, but because Adam had lost the dominion God gave him. Before Adam eat the fruit, death was made deathless, i.e. death could not affect Adam. When God saw the rebellious act of the serpent, He place curses on the serpent, punished Adam and Eve and drove them out of the garden of Eden.

God did some thing mysterious to safe Adam from  death at that point in time. He killed an animal and took the skins and sow apron flowing with blood for Adam and Eve. God used the blood of animal to temporary cover the sin of Adam and Eve. The blood of animal can not takes away sin, its can't cleans sin away from the life of a man, its only cover sin for a while.'For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins. ... For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins Hebrew 10:4' The blood of Adam was corrupt and death now have dominion over Adam and his descendant.  

When God speaks, it is eternal, it becomes an established ordinances, remember, God told Adam the day you will eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, you shall surely die.  Death now have dominion over Adam and his descendant. God in the old testament, uses the blood of animal to cover the sins of the Israelite, this is while the high priest had to present sacrifices yearly to atone for the sin of the Israelite.  

To rectify Adam's error or sin, God have to deal with death. the blood of animal can't do this, the blood in  Adam;s descendant is corrupt, so human blood can't takes away sin. God have a plan B for mankind. He had to sacrifices himself to destroy the power of death over man. God waited for the right time to established His plan. He sent angel Gabriel to Mary, immediately Mary accepted God's plan, the word of God became flesh and dwell among men. Jesus is the spoken word of God.  

Remember in Lect. 17: 4a the bible says "The life of every creature is in the blood". wait a minute, what kind of life is in the blood of Jesus? it can't be the human blood, because he was not from Adam descendant, this one of the reason why He was called the Second Adam. The life that is in the blood of Jesus contains the life of God, and God live from eternity to eternity, in fact life and eternity proceed out from God, God cannot die. When Jesus died on the cross, it was the life in the blood of Jesus that brought Him back, because the blood contains eternal life. The blood of Jesus is supernatural, the blood of Jesus contains eternity, endless life!

"Lord Jesus thank you for every thing the cross cost you, now i know how precious your blood is to me. i am sorry for every sin i have ever committed since the day i was born, have mercy on me and use your blood to wash and cleans me from every sin i have ever committed. I believed with the whole of my heart. Amen !!!

The above scripture revealed to us God's  willingness to save humanity. His perfect will is that all should be saved and enjoy total freedom. My friend, God is calling you as a father that you may know how much He loves you. He wants you to enjoy total freedom only Him can give. 

Come to think of this, you are God beloved child, He framed you in His image and likeness. Your existence on Earth is not by accidents. You are the crown of His creation ( Gen. 1:27), the apple of His eyes, you are God's own treasured possession. Indeed, you were fearfully and wonderfully made. 

God's perfect plan for you is to bless you and give you a future filled with hope: a future of success, and prosperity. He is willing to give you dominion over all the earth and make you take charge of everything He had created. God desire to establish you and show you marvelous things greater than what you could ever imagine. (Jen. 32:41). 

The only way to enjoy this privilege is to come in oneness with God i.e. to be transformed from the old man to the new man in Christ Jesus. It's only in Christ Jesus you can have this total freedom. 

Every time you go into sin, you create a wedge between God and yourself. You gives room for satan to have dominion, carry out his evil deals. God  is calling you to turn from that sinful way and come back to Him. 

He is committed to forgiving you of your sins and blot it out. " Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow ; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.... Isaiah 1: 18. He cares for you and wants to heal your broken heart and heal your wounded spirit.

LIFE WITHOUT LIBERTY

 Good day everyone, our God is a faithful God, here is a true life story of  JUANITA HEADLEY. 

 

“Bang, click, slide" were the sounds of the jail cell door being locked and bolted.

Contrary to my title of attorney it wasn't business as usual, because instead of me being stood on the outside of the bars looking in, this time I was the one on the inside looking out.

I felt like a caged animal at the zoo at the complete mercy of the police. This was definitely not what I had signed up for and I wanted to call it quits. It wasn’t fun anymore, and truth be told it was never fun to begin with.

This was not some kind of social research project for a new article that I was working on. This was my reality after being dragged out of bed by the police and bought before the Serious Offences Court Judge in my pyjamas.

In the absence of my legal counsel, when the decision was ruled in favour of the prosecution I was immediately hauled off to jail.

When one considers that I am a human rights advocate it was rather disconcerting that I became the victim of countless human rights breaches. However, in saying that I understood that every Christian had their cross to bear and this was simply my calling (Luke 9:23).

1 Corinthians 10:13B has always been my favourite scripture. The words that, “...God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear,” served as a constant reminder to me that I had the strength to get through whatever adversity I faced.

Despite this truth, I am ashamed to confess that it was only a matter of weeks earlier that I had asked God to take my life. It felt at the time as though I had reached rock bottom, that my good deeds had been in vain. I did not want to continue living or so I thought.

Looking back, things really weren't that bad. I had my life, liberty, free will and ability to choose. That night I chose life, I chose resilience and I chose Godly obedience.

Just as Paul and Silas were thrown into prison (Acts 16), so was I, but not for my faith. That did not however, diminish the fact of my innocence, because just as Revelation 2:10 says, “...the devil will put some of you into prison to test you,” I was most definitely being tested.

The question is, did I pass that test?

I believe that I did when the only complaint the police had about me was when I sang continuously for 5 hours.

There is so much power in worship, and just like Paul and Silas before me I sang every day of my incarceration.

When God literally gave me an Acts 16:35-37 prison break I promised Him I would NEVER threaten to take my life again. Just as He promised to never leave me nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5) I am convinced that He was right there beside me in that Questelles jail cell.

 GOD'S PRESENCE

_*...in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.*_ *Psalms 16:11*

 ```The most important thing that a Christian must always be conscious of is the presence of Christ in his or her life. Christ in us is what makes us who we are. Not just having the life of God in our spirit, but having the very presence of God living in and within us, through the habitation of God's Spirit of our bodies. God's presence in us is what matters most, more than anything in the world, and God wants us to enjoy Him daily, to enjoy His presence in and within us. To enjoy the serenity and peace, the love and joy that His presence brings to us.``` 

 _God's presence in us is what makes all the difference. It is a mark of honour to us. It elevates us to a place of honour and glory. God's presence in and within us is for our daily enjoyment, to explore the ambience, grandeur and fragrance of God. To revel in the beauty of His holiness and to bask in the eternal pleasure that His presence brings. God with us is the best thing that has ever happened in human history. The sweetness of God's loving presence is for us to enjoy daily. The Holy Spirit within us wants us to experience God and enjoy Him daily. When you spend time with God's Spirit in worship, the fullness of joy that is in His presence is made available to us. No wonder we get so excited when we have corporate worship in churches_ .

 ```But, you see, God's intention is not just for us to enjoy the pleasure and joy of His presence from corporate worship in church, He wants us to enjoy it personally, everyday. This is why personal time of worship, reverencing God and just enjoying His presence is important. The same joy and pleasure you get from corporate worship, you will also get from personal worship. But this time, it becomes more intimate. You've got all of God to enjoy yourself. Guess what. This is the craving of God Himself. He longs for this kind of worship, He wants to get so intimate with you and just literally hold you in His embrace and whisper sweet words to you. Wouldn't you rather enjoy God every day?```

*Create time to enjoy God in pure heartfelt worship. Don't make any requests, just worship God.
