What is sanctification? Does sanctification portray purity? If it does, then what about purification obtained during salvation. Does it mean after salvation, there is a need for another level of purification?

So many believers  believe there is no difference between sanctification and salvation . Well, through the help of the Holy Spirit, I will show you the difference.

Salvation is the transformation that you received when you are bore again. It is a state of being regenerated, the rebirth of your spirit. By rebirth I means be renewed or cleansed by the blood of the Lamb of God so that your spirit can have access or stand before God blameless. Salvation gives you the privileged to stand before God without any sin. Naturally, man is born a sinner, salvation makes you a saint, someone that have been washed with the blood of the Lamb of God.

If salvation renew our spirits and through the process we become  saints in Christ Jesus, then, why sanctification ? Does it means at salvation we were not sanctified?

"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleans ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God! 2 Cor. 7:1 KJV."

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, Saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean things: and I will receive you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty 2 Cor. 6:17-18 KJV."

Sanctification is the stage of being separated from the world and be separated unto God i.e move closer to God! Sanctification is the process of perfecting God's Holiness in your spirit, soul and body. That is why the bible says"Be ye Holy for I am Holy 1 Peter 1:16 KJV."

HOW CAN I BE SANCTIFY

1. The word: The word of God has cleansing power to makes every believes pure and holy in God's presence. Jesus told His disciples, "Ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you John 15: 3". Obeying God's word unconditionally, cleanse and sanctify you!

2. Regular Fellowship: The God you serves or worship on a regular basis in one way or the other, His nature is reflected in you. Moses was filled with God's presence to the extend that the Israelite could not behold his face, why? because the nature of His majesty, the Holy Presence of God was found in his appearance. So, the God you serve on a regular basis, in one way or the other, His nature is reflected in you.

 3. Praying in tongues: "But ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost Jude1:20 KJV." The bible says when you pray in tongues your spirit prays. You build up your most holy faith, moving closer to God in sanctification by praying in tongues.
