 TRUE OBEDIENCE

TEXT: PSALM 51:12 “Give me again the joy that comes from your salvation, and makes me willing to obey you”

True obedience, it is when we do 100% what we are instructed to do by our superior; Caring out 100% of the instruction from the superior authority is an act of true obedience. Striving to do the will of God also is an act of true obedience. Obedience and faith goes together, We cannot have one without the other, because obedience in the final analysis is what salvation is all about.

True obedience is not an act, but an attitude. True obedience is an attitude that a person has who is truly born again.

A person who is born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, and allow Jesus Christ to dwell in his heart, must put on the act of true obedience.

True obedience and faith comes from God. And God have impacted in all Christians true obedience and faith as we strive to live the life that pleases God.

It is impossible to truly obey God without faith in Jesus Christ; and so faith and obedience becomes an act of attitude, James 4:17 writes “ A person who does not do the good he knows he should do, is guilty of sin.

Dear beloved in Christ, let us continue to appreciate God, who made it possible that all people were made sinner as the result of disobedience of one man, in the same way we as Christian of today (New Millennia) will be put right with God as the result of the obedience of one man. (Romans 5:19).

Psalm 51: David was a man of prayer and he has faith in God, there is nothing he does without seeking the face of God, and God blessed him and made him prosperous.

God is always faithful and ready to make us prosperous if we have faith in Him and put on the act of true obedience.

Prayer: O God, for as much as without you, we are not able to please you; mercifully grant that Your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever. AMEN.
