OVERCOMING FEAR

 FOR GOD HATH NOT GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR; BUT OF POWER, AND OF LOVE, AND OF A SOUND MIND. II TIMOTHY 1: 7.

The above scripture reveal that fear is a spirit and such spirit should not be found in believers. The word fear portray diverse meanings, some are real and some are imagined. Some are very serious while others are quite silly. Fear is lack of courage, it means to be afraid. Not all fear are bad, there are some  that are good. Good fears  are those that are necessary to keep us safe. For example; fear of eating too much junk food, driving too fast, fear of fire, fear of God, sin , temptation, false teaching etc. All these kind of fears are good fears. The kind of fear that the bible condemn is the fear that enslave, the one that paralyzes, makes one weak or even control one's life. " The fear of a man bringeth a snare:.............Proverbs 29:25". Fear is a tool the devil uses against us to make us miserable and destroyed our lives. It begins as a thought and then creates emotions that can rule one's life. sometimes it becomes so intense in such a way to make an individual take a foolish action that can ruined his life or prevent him from doing something that will be good for him. 

OVERCOMING FEAR DAILY

To overcome fear daily, you must do the following;

Try to know the source of the fear: What you know does not exercise dominion over fear. Fear is a limit, knowing the source or the causes of a fear is one bold step towards overcoming it. This will make you to know what you are dealing with. 

Involve God: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6". To acknowledge the Lord means to recognize that God is supreme and that He has authority over all situations.  "FOR GOD HATH NOT GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR; BUT OF POWER, AND OF LOVE, AND OF A SOUND MIND. II TIMOTHY 1: 7". Fear is a spirit and there is a personality or forces behind every fear that enslaves. God has given us the spirit of might, love and sound mind to overcome fear on a daily basis. Power here talks of might. The Spirit of might is the miracle working power of God. The Spirit of might empower you to do the super-extraordinary thing. And of love; perfect love cast out fear. God said He loves you with an everlasting, His love is perfect, so the love that God has towards will always  put aside anything that wants to make you afraid. And of sound mind. having the right mind set will always makes you brave, hence putting fear at bay!!!
