THE VESSEL AND THE NEW WINE

 Matthew 9: 16- 17, II Cor 5:17, Mark 2: 18 -22, Luke 5: 36 - 38

No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. (Matthew 9: 16-17)

The new wine refers to the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit of God dwells in a soul that is regenerated. God hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. To be regenerated means to be transformed from Adamic nature to the nature of the Most High God. (II Cor. 5: 17, Col. 1: 13). For the Spirit of God to dwell and operate fully in our lives; there are certain things we have to let go. The old wine, the old man (Adamic sinful nature and his deeds). "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Eph. 4: 22-24".

luke 5: 36- 38 reveal that will cannot bring in the old nature(Gal. 5: 16-17) into Christianity.  The old garment and the old bottles and the old wine refers to adamic sinful nature. The bottle is the channel through which this attribute is being display.

The new bottles and the new wine

The new bottles are the seed of God's righteousness sow into your life to showcase the nature of God on earth. When a farmer plant a single seed of corn, at the point of harvest , it produce several seeds, in the same vein God's seed of righteousness is capable of producing several seeds in us which indicate the nature of God in us.

All the fruits of the spirit are gotten from that seed of righteousness, and each of the fruit becomes a seed to produce more or further furits.

Holiness will becomes a fruits when it becomes an habit or a lifestyle.  for more Christain literature visit feedspot.com or click here to visit
